On August 9, 2026, the official AWS page stated that the event had reached maximum capacity and that in-person registration was closed. Registration for the live stream was still open on the same date.
This is the detail that changes most and the one most people look up too late. The São Paulo Summit has limited capacity and registration usually lasts a few days after it opens. If you are reading this after the date above, check the AWS page directly — the link is at the bottom.
Anyone who missed out still has two things: the live stream, whose registration AWS was keeping open, and the week of the event in São Paulo, which concentrates meetings and technical conversations outside São Paulo Expo. A good share of the Summit's value has always been in that second half.
The agenda, hour by hour.
As AWS published it, in Brazilian local time. The two slots that decide your day are the early badge pickup, the day before, and the keynote.
The four session levels.
AWS numbers content from 100 to 400. The number appears in each session title in the agenda, and it is the most useful filter there is: choosing by subject and ignoring the level is how you end up leaving the room after twenty minutes.
Introductory
An overview of a service or a topic. Useful when you want to know that something exists and what it is for.
Intermediate
It assumes you know the basics and shows how the pieces fit together. This is where most of the agenda lives.
Advanced
Real architecture, with trade-offs and limits. Worth it for anyone who already runs it and has a decision in hand.
Expert
A deep dive for the people who build it. With no prior context in the subject, you leave with notes you never use.
How to plan the day.
The classic mistake is trying to see everything. There are more than 170 sessions in one day: the day pays off for people who choose, not for people who run.
Pick three sessions, not ten
The agenda has more than 170 sessions and you will not see ten of them. Pick three that settle a decision already on your desk, and treat the rest of the day as conversation.
Read the level before the title
AWS grades content from 100, which is introductory, to 400, a deep dive for specialists. A 200 session on something you already run is an hour lost; so is a 400 on something you have never touched.
Block out the keynote and arrive early
The keynote runs from 10:30 to 11:30 and it is the only hour when everyone is in the same room. Arriving at 10:29 means watching it standing at the back.
Collect your badge the day before
Early badge pickup runs on September 2, from 11:00 to 19:00. Collect it the day before and you walk straight in on the 3rd; leave it to the morning and you queue with everyone else.
Bring three written questions
At the booths and in the technical conversations, people who arrive with a specific question leave with a specific answer. People who arrive to "see the solutions" leave with a tote bag. Write the three questions before you go in.
Leave an hour free at the end
The happy hour in the expo area runs from 17:30 to 18:30, and it is where the day's conversations turn into a next meeting. It is the most productive hour of the event for anyone who came to decide something.

Who gets the most out of the Summit?
Business and technology executives, technical and commercial decision-makers, and developers. To collect a badge you must be at least 18 years old on the day of pickup.
Is the event accessible?
Yes. AWS lists mobility device rental, assisted listening and seating distributed across the venue. It is worth writing to the organizers beforehand if you need something specific.
